Greetings!!

To all my Democratic friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. This is not meant to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To all my Republican friends:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Yeah, Obama and the Democrats want us to bet the house on Medicare when it's already full of corruption. Can you imagine how much waste and fraud there will be once that gang destroys free enterprise, and controls everyone's healthcare? The big question will be: what comes after a trillion???

Sweep nets Medicare fraud suspects in Miami, Detroit, New York
By JAY WEAVER

Federal agents Tuesday arrested about 30 doctors, nurses and healthcare operators in Miami, Detroit and New York on charges of submitting more than $61 million in bogus bills to the taxpayer-funded Medicare program.

Among those arrested in South Florida: Dr. Fred E. Dweck of Hollywood, who was the medical director for a Miami healthcare clinic, Courtesy Medical Group.

Dweck, 74, arrested at his home early Tuesday by FBI and Health and Human Services agents, is accused of accepting bribes in exchange for writing prescriptions for about 1,300 homebound patients who didn't need costly diabetic, physical therapy and other services billed to Medicare, according to federal authorities. The total billing to Medicare: almost $41 million between 2006 and 2009. The federal healthcare program paid out nearly $24 million.

Never before has a speech by President Barack Obama felt as false as

Meanwell -- Check out this Daily Collegian Online article

It was nice to see an article about the growing ClimateGate scandal appear in the Collegian. Too many major news outlets have chosen to bury this controversy (mostly for political reasons), but at least the folks at the Collegian are doing their due diligence. Of course, I noticed that the last part of your article was a blatant defense of global warming, but at least you brought up the controversy.

I am interested to see how far down the rabbit hole the Collegian will be willing to go. There is a lot more to this scandal than a few emails back and forth between colleagues. The real investigation lies with the source code. You need to take a look at the raw data from the Climate Research Unit's FOI2009 file in particular. Marc Sheppard of AmericanThinker.com has dug deeply into some of these files, and the results are disturbing. There are many "fudge factors" in the code that scrubs the data, and shows that the scientists weren't really searching for an answer: they were searching for a way to explain their answer. That, my friends, is not science.

Being an alum of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, I find this truly offensive. I was always taught that "consensus" is not true science. I was also taught that scientists must "test" a hypothesis, and look for the opposite of each consequence in order to disprove it. It seems to me that these global warming scientists don't spend much time trying to disprove their theories. They spend more time making sure they are aligned with environmentalist politicians. That may be great for their ability to obtain grants, but it doesn't advance the cause of science.

Michelle Malkin refutes the SEIU's refutation of her....

Great stuff from a good fact checker, Michelle Malkin

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/11/19/seiu-thugs-lash-back-over-boy-scout-debacle/

My two cents:

Obama has his purple-shirted thugs in the SEIU, Hitler had his brown-shirted thugs in the Sturmabteilung, or SA. Both groups served the purpose of intimidating the masses, and forcibly pushing agendas.

The only difference is that sooner or later, ordinary folks in the SEIU are going to look down, see the bloodstains on their hands, and rise up against the union bosses. Their American spirit will override the brainwashing they have been receiving at the hands of the union's leaders. That will be a wonderful day for this country.

I also find it encouraging that the American people as a whole are finally starting to wake up to the realization that the government is not doing things for the people, they are doing things to the people. Better days are on the way. Do yourself a favor and get on the liberty bandwagon early. Say goodbye to the parasitic unions!

ERIC HOLDER: A MAN OF CONFLICTED INTEREST

Someone must have greased the sides of the tank that the MSM is in, because it appears that nobody is going to get out of there to do any kind of actual reporting. Case in point, the decision to try KSM and a few other terrorists in NYC in a civilian court. The man responsible for this fiasco (besides Obama) is AG of the US, Eric Holder.

After about 3 minutes of exhausting digging, I found the website of Holder's old law firm, Covington and Burling LLP (Holder was a senior partner), and took at look at some of their pro bono work. Seems like they have a vested interest in getting these terrorists civilian trials because they REPRESENT a bunch of Gitmo detainees. Talk about your conflict of interests!!!

Where are you, media???

http://www.cov.com/probonooverview/probono.aspx?show=morehighlights

Guantanamo Bay Detainees

We represent sixteen men detained at the United States Naval Station at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. Most of the men have been detained for approximately seven years. None have been charged with any crimes, and none have been accorded the protections of the Geneva Convention. In Boumediene v. Bush, 128 S. Ct. 2229 (2008), where we were co-counsel for eleven of the detainees, the Supreme Court held that the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus extends to detainees held at Guantánamo Bay. Following that decision, we have been preparing for habeas corpus hearings to be held in federal district court Washington, DC, for eleven of our clients.

The firm has been involved in the Guantánamo related litigation for the last five years. In addition to the on-going habeas corpus proceedings, our efforts have included: bringing cases for review of enemy combatant classification decisions in the D.C. Circuit under the Detainee Treatment Act of 2005; challenging the destruction of CIA torture tapes in federal court; filing amicus briefs and coordinating the amicus effort in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, 548 U.S. 557 (2006); filing amicus briefs in support of Supreme Court review in Moussaoui v. United States, 382 F.3d 483 (4th Cir.), cert denied, 544 U.S. 931 (2005); challenging the government’s practice of redacting information from documents given to security-cleared habeas counsel; and challenging the abusive medical and living conditions that the detainees experience at Guantánamo.

Why wait for a decision on troops? It's politics, stupid....

I see on the Drudgereport that Obama is "closer" to making a decision on additional troops for Afghanistan. Imagine if we were stupid enough to wait on some other important military decisions throughout our history. What would the headlines be???

PoliticsPA Reports: Argall says congressional rumors untrue

It would be too fast a transition for Argall to jump ship from his current position. Holden's handlers would eat that up. Given Argall's moderate tendencies, he might win some Democratic voters over, but it would best serve the Republican Party if a well financed and new-to-politics candidate can be unearthed. Despite his health care vote, Holden's seat can be easily taken given the current angst among voters. Just link him to entitlements, taxes, and the DNC, and he'd be cooked. He may be a nice man, but Holden ultimately tows the company line.

Global Warming....Climate Change.....whatever it's called these days

Someone asked me to comment on Global Warming on a recent email string. I kind of went off on it......enjoy!

Control of so called “global warming” is nothing more than a power play for global governance.

With the fall of communism in the 80’s and 90’s (present administration not withstanding), the liberal nut jobs needed a safe harbor in which they could practice their takeover of society. The environmental movement was the perfect target. You already had your motivated hippie base in place (who actually believed we were causing global cooling in the 70’s, but what’s a 180 degree change in thinking among friends?), and you could always count on the European crowd to go along with anything that promised some serious US Corporate bashing. It was just a matter of finding the perfect stooge to run the show.

Enter Al Gore. A more colorful and comical character they could not find. Fresh off his cry-baby performance in the 2000 election, Al needed another cause to make himself relevant again (otherwise, he’d simply be known as the son of the man who stood in the way of the Civil Rights Act of 1965 –yes, that’s right, Al’s dad –and most democrats of his time—were the actual segregationists. Please, don’t look for this information in any high school or college history book, it’s been redacted for your convenience). Al had the “left stuff” to take this fight to another level, and with the same enthusiasm of Michael Moore going after an evil company (or a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese), Al picked up the baton, and trudged forward.

The IPCC were the perfect group of hackneyed politicians and liberal scientists to back up Al. The created the wonderful “hockey stick” graph showing the damage man had done to the earth, and nary a reporter dared to question it. That brings us to today.

“Global Warming” is now affectionately known as “Climate Change” (how do I know this? I think Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher both got that phrase tattooed on their behinds). The tree-hugging whackos needed this linguistic alteration to insure that any inconvenient “dips” in their global warming data could be explained.

Today, the battle rages on, but as more and more scientists come out refuting the global warming theories, the left is becoming more and more desperate. Want proof? Wait until the Copenhagen meetings in December. What a scare-fest that promises to be!

Connect the Dots....Marxism to Obama....It's not that difficult....

Finding the links between BHO and Marxism is so easy, even a caveman can do it. I literally did 5 minutes of internet research, and came up with this link:

Step 1: Start with Saul Alinksy.

Alinsky wrote the book, "Rules for Radicals", which basically teaches young aspiring leftists to achieve their goals. Here is an example quote taken from his book: "A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism".

Sounds simple, right?

Step 2: Look towards "community organizing groups" , link them to Alinksy

Here is a bit of history taken from the website of a prominent Chicago "Community Organizing" group, the Gamaliel Foundation

"History of the Movement: This type of community organizing began in Chicago in 1938. Saul Alinsky created the "Back of the Yards Community Council". The organization operated in the shadow of Chicago’s stock yards. The community was beset with poverty, political corruption, gangs, disease, deteriorating housing and inadequate schools; but most of all it was beset with a sense of powerlessness. The organization successfully engaged people to change the conditions of the community. Its motto was, "We shall decide our own destiny." And to a large extent and for some time, they did just that. Many organizations were created utilizing the model of the Back of the Yards Council. Unfortunately most of those organizations have dissolved, become stagnant, parochial and marginalized; have evolved into social service, advocacy, or economic development corporations; or have become the fiefdoms of political hacks. The original mission of empowerment and expansion of democracy has, all too frequently, been lost. To insure the promise of community organizing, the Gamaliel Foundation was born. "

This can further be referenced here: http://www.gamaliel.org/Foundation/history.htm

Step 3: Link the group to Obama

I didn't have to go far for this information, it's right on the Gamaliel Foundation website!!

http://www.gamaliel.org/Obama%20Gamalie%20lConnection.htm

Gamaliel and the Barack Obama Connection by Gregory A. Galluzzo

President elect Barack Obama has throughout his political career made repeated references to his time as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago. It is important that we all understand the connection between Barack and Gamaliel. In l980 Mary Gonzales and I created the United Neighborhood Organization of Chicago. In l982 we decided that we needed some expertise from someone who had done faith based community organizing. A person who had worked as such an organizer in Illinois and in Pennsylvania approached me about joining our organizing team. His name was Jerry Kellman. Jerry helped Mary and myself become better organizers. While he was working for us, he connected with a group called the Calumet Community Religious Conference (CCRC) operating on the South Side in the South Suburbs of Chicago, and in Indiana. CCRC had been formed in response to the massive shut down of major industry and the resulting job loss and all of the concomitant social tragedies. Jerry and I reached an understanding that we would support his work in the South Suburbs so that he could become director of his own project. It was Jerry Kellman who put an ad in the New York Times about an organizing position in the Chicago area. Barack responded; Jerry interviewed him and offered him a position. Barack accepted. Almost at this very time, Jerry propositioned an old friend of his to return to Chicago from Texas and work with him in this new organizing venture. His friend was Mike Kruglik. Mike and Jerry were the first mentors of Barack in organizing. CCRC, which spanned communities in Northwest Indiana, the South Suburbs and parts of the City of Chicago proved to be unwieldy. Jerry and I decided to split it into three parts. Barack would work to found a new independent project in the South side of Chicago, Mike Kruglik would be the director of the South Suburban Action Conference and Jerry Kellman would develop organizing in Northwest Indiana. At that point Jerry asked me to become Barack’s consultant. And at this time we were just creating the Gamaliel Foundation. I met with Barack on a regular basis as he incorporated the Developing Communities Project, as he moved the organization into action and as he developed the leadership structure for the organization. He would write beautiful and brilliant weekly reports about his work and the people he was engaging. When Barack decided to go to Harvard Law School, he approached John McKnight, a professor at Northwestern and a Gamaliel Board member for a letter of recommendation. When Barack was leaving he made sure that Gamaliel was the formal consultant to the organization that he had created and to the staff that he had hired.Barack has acknowledged publicly that he had been the director of a Gamaliel affiliate. He has supported Gamaliel throughout the years by conducting training both at the National Leadership Training events and at the African American Leadership Commission. He has also attended our public meetings. We are honored and blessed by the connection between Barack and Gamaliel.

See how easy that was?

I will bet that you too can do your own investigating and find your own Marxist links to Obama.

Now go forth and find them!!

HUMAN EVENTS Article: Why Martin Luther King Was Republican

Scott S has sent you an article from HUMAN EVENTS ONLINE with the following personal message:

It\'s amazing how the Dems have been able to turn the world around on race.

Why Martin Luther King Was Republican
by Frances Rice

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.

It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950s and 1960s.

During the civil rights era of the 1960s, Dr. King was fighting the Democrats who stood in the school house doors, turned skin-burning fire hoses on blacks and let loose vicious dogs. It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools. President Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court, which resulted in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision ending school segregation. Much is made of Democrat President Harry Truman's issuing an Executive Order in 1948 to desegregate the military. Not mentioned is the fact that it was Eisenhower who actually took action to effectively end segregation in the military.

Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a proponent of civil rights. However, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Sen. Al Gore Sr. And after he became President, Kennedy was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph, who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King.

In March of 1968, while referring to Dr. King's leaving Memphis, Tenn., after riots broke out where a teenager was killed, Democrat Sen. Robert Byrd (W.Va.), a former member of the Ku Klux Klan, called Dr. King a "trouble-maker" who starts trouble, but runs like a coward after trouble is ignited. A few weeks later, Dr. King returned to Memphis and was assassinated on April 4, 1968.

Given the circumstances of that era, it is understandable why Dr. King was a Republican. It was the Republicans who fought to free blacks from slavery and amended the Constitution to grant blacks freedom (13th Amendment), citizenship (14th Amendment) and the right to vote (15th Amendment). Republicans passed the civil rights laws of the 1860s, including the Civil Rights Act of 1866 and the Reconstruction Act of 1867 that was designed to establish a new government system in the Democrat-controlled South, one that was fair to blacks. Republicans also started the NAACP and affirmative action with Republican President Richard Nixon's 1969 Philadelphia Plan (crafted by black Republican Art Fletcher) that set the nation's fist goals and timetables. Although affirmative action now has been turned by the Democrats into an unfair quota system, affirmative action was begun by Nixon to counter the harm caused to blacks when Democrat President Woodrow Wilson in 1912 kicked all of the blacks out of federal government jobs.

Few black Americans know that it was Republicans who founded the Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Unknown also is the fact that Republican Sen. Everett Dirksen from Illinois was key to the passage of civil rights legislation in 1957, 1960, 1964 and 1965. Not mentioned in recent media stories about extension of the 1965 Voting Rights Act is the fact that Dirksen wrote the language for the bill. Dirksen also crafted the language for the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which prohibited discrimination in housing. President Lyndon Johnson could not have achieved passage of civil rights legislation without the support of Republicans.

Critics of Republican Sen. Barry Goldwater, who ran for President against Johnson in 1964, ignore the fact that Goldwater wanted to force the Democrats in the South to stop passing discriminatory laws and thus end the need to continuously enact federal civil rights legislation.

Those who wrongly criticize Goldwater also ignore the fact that Johnson, in his 4,500 State of the Union Address delivered on Jan. 4, 1965, mentioned scores of topics for federal action, but only 35 words were devoted to civil rights. He did not mention one word about voting rights. Then in 1967, showing his anger with Dr. King's protest against the Vietnam War, Johnson referred to Dr. King as "that Nigger preacher."

Contrary to the false assertions by Democrats, the racist "Dixiecrats" did not all migrate to the Republican Party. "Dixiecrats" declared that they would rather vote for a "yellow dog" than vote for a Republican because the Republican Party was know as the party for blacks. Today, some of those "Dixiecrats" continue their political careers as Democrats, including Robert Byrd, who is well known for having been a "Keagle" in the Ku Klux Klan.

Another former "Dixiecrat" is former Democrat Sen. Ernest Hollings, who put up the Confederate flag over the state Capitol when he was the governor of South Carolina. There was no public outcry when Democrat Sen. Christopher Dodd praised Byrd as someone who would have been "a great senator for any moment," including the Civil War. Yet Democrats denounced then-Senate GOP leader Trent Lott for his remarks about Sen. Strom Thurmond (R.-S.C.). Thurmond was never in the Ku Klux Klan and defended blacks against lynching and the discriminatory poll taxes imposed on blacks by Democrats. If Byrd and Thurmond were alive during the Civil War, and Byrd had his way, Thurmond would have been lynched.

The 30-year odyssey of the South switching to the Republican Party began in the 1970s with President Richard Nixon's "Southern Strategy," which was an effort on the part of Nixon to get Christians in the South to stop voting for Democrats who did not share their values and were still discriminating against their fellow Christians who happened to be black. Georgia did not switch until 2002, and some Southern states, including Louisiana, are still controlled by Democrats.

Today, Democrats, in pursuit of their socialist agenda, are fighting to keep blacks poor, angry and voting for Democrats. Examples of how egregiously Democrats act to keep blacks in poverty are numerous.

After wrongly convincing black Americans that a minimum wage increase was a good thing, the Democrats on August 3 kept their promise and killed the minimum wage bill passed by House Republicans on July 29. The blockage of the minimum wage bill was the second time in as many years that Democrats stuck a legislative finger in the eye of black Americans. Senate Democrats on April 1, 2004, blocked passage of a bill to renew the 1996 welfare reform law that was pushed by Republicans and vetoed twice by President Clinton before he finally signed it. Since the welfare reform law expired in September 2002, Congress had passed six extensions, and the latest expired on June 30, 2004. Opposed by the Democrats are school choice opportunity scholarships that would help black children get out of failing schools and Social Security reform, even though blacks on average lose $10,000 in the current system because of a shorter life expectancy than whites (72.2 years for blacks vs. 77.5 years for whites).

Democrats have been running our inner-cities for the past 30 to 40 years, and blacks are still complaining about the same problems. More than $7 trillion dollars have been spent on poverty programs since Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty with little, if any, impact on poverty. Diabolically, every election cycle, Democrats blame Republicans for the deplorable conditions in the inner-cities, then incite blacks to cast a protest vote against Republicans.

In order to break the Democrats' stranglehold on the black vote and free black Americans from the Democrat Party's economic plantation, we must shed the light of truth on the Democrats. We must demonstrate that the Democrat Party policies of socialism and dependency on government handouts offer the pathway to poverty, while Republican Party principles of hard work, personal responsibility, getting a good education and ownership of homes and small businesses offer the pathway to prosperity.

HUMAN EVENTS Article: Why Martin Luther King Was Republican

How many of you are "Obama-ed" out? I know, I know, you were burned out from Obama overload in 2007 (2004 if you count his speech to the Democratic Convention), but geez, this latest blitz on all the Sunday talk shows was simply amazing.

You gotta wonder how Napoleon, Mao, Hitler, Genghis Khan, et al would have used television to accomplish their objectives of world dominance? You think they would have gone on all the Sunday talk shows? You bet your ass they would have!!
